A Holiday Portrait Experience by Dogs In The Wild
This holiday season, we’re trading artificial backdrops for something a little more real and rugged. Set in an open country field with a vintage 4×4 truck, we’ll capture a little of that old-fashioned holiday spirit in the company of the dogs that make our lives that much better. There’s something about an old truck, a freshly cut tree, and a good dog by your side that just feels right.
This year, join me for something a little different. We’ll create moments inspired by simpler times, with honest, natural portraits full of grit, nostalgia, and character. The kind of photographs that tell a story and become part of your own holiday traditions.
In the event of bad weather, sessions will move to Sunday, December 13.

What to WearTips for getting ready for your session
Think classic American workwear, your favorite well-worn flannel. Rugged, comfortable, and timeless. A few ideas for the whole family:
- Nothing New: Wear that old shirt you don’t mind getting covered in pine pitch.
- Jackets: Canvas work jackets, barn coats, quilted vests, and wool coats.
- Tops: Plaid flannels, chunky knit sweaters, henleys, and cozy layers.
- Bottoms: Faded denim, corduroy, canvas pants, or overalls for the little ones.
- Footwear: Leather work boots, duck boots, or your favorite worn-in boots, no shiny new sneakers.
- Accessories: Knit caps, wool scarves, and tan leather gloves.
- Colors: Earthy browns, olive greens, warm tans, faded reds, denim blues, and cream.
Most importantly, come as you are. That old jacket, favorite flannel, and pair of worn-in boots might be exactly what we’re looking for. For this one, shop a thrift store, not L.L. Bean.
