Every dog photography experience I offer is built around patience, respect for the dog, and attention to meaningful moments. Whether I’m documenting the focus of a retriever at the line, creating a themed event, or spending quiet time during a private session, I work carefully and intentionally to capture images that feel genuine and lasting. I call these images Frames With Purpose.
Photographing a hunt test is not simply event coverage for me. It is time spent among dogs and handlers who share my own values. I don’t just spend time behind the camera, when I can I also work with my own dogs, training and learning as we go. Understanding hunt tests, how they operate and the language, helps me capture the intensity at the line and the action in the field.
For clubs all around the US, hosting me as a professional photographer will add an elevated meaning to your event. Handlers love having images of their dogs working with birds, and clubs benefit from imagery and documentation from your test. My work preserves moments from the weekend highlighting the people, the dogs, the grounds, and all the hard work being done.
No Fees for Clubs
Clubs are never charged for photography coverage. I assume all costs associated with travel, lodging, equipment, and time on the grounds. I love traveling to new places, seeing new landscapes, and photographing new dogs and faces.
There are no fees to the club and no disruption to the event schedule. In return, I simply request access to the handler entry list so I can share galleries of their dogs’ runs and offer images for purchase.
Clubs receive the benefit of professional photography at their event without any financial obligation.
Professional Presence on the Grounds
When I arrive, I introduce myself to the judges and marshal and review placement options to ensure I never obstruct the test. Judges always have the final say on where I work.
I use silent camera equipment and dress appropriately for the field. When needed, I bring my own blind or work from natural cover.
My goal is simple, document the work without drawing attention to myself. The dogs are always the focus.
Dog photography events are designed to be fun, creative experiences for both you and your dog. Events are pretty much always in upstate NY near Saratoga Springs, and in the greater Adirondack Region. Some are signature events that I design and host myself, while others take place within larger gatherings such as fundraisers, outdoor festivals, and dog-centered community events. Each event blends thoughtful styling, beautiful outdoor settings, and gentle guidance to capture expressive, memorable images of your dog.

Private sessions are mostly local, but I am willing to travel for certain requests. These sessions are designed for those who want a quiet, one-on-one photography experience focused entirely on their dog. These sessions allow us to slow down, work with the landscape and natural light, build trust of your dog, and capture images that feel deeply personal and authentic.
With no crowds, your dog has space to move, settle, and reveal their true character.

While I think the images are priceless, the purchase price my customers pay varies based on the experience type. Events and dogs sports like AKC Hunt Tests generally require no upfront fees, I provide coverage, and editing, then my customer is given prices for individual photos or packages.
Private sessions start at $400 and increase from there based on your needs and location.

I offer low resolution files for web sharing in two types, with a watermark (WR) and without (WRW). I also offer two types of high resolution files to make your own prints or for use in print publications, the two types are High Resolution (HR) good for prints up to 8X10, and Super Resolution (SR) for prints larger than 8X10.
Paper prints – Ultra Premium Photo Paper has a mixture of a gloss and matte finish. Each photo is printed with multicolor, water-based inkjet printing technique that gives you the best possible outcome.

I make it a point to edit and and upload as fast as I can without sacrificing quality. For private sessions that may be a day or two or up to a week. For events such as hunt tests where I am taking thousands of photographs, I can generally have galleries available in 1 to 3 weeks.
For events such as hunt tests I pretty much go anywhere in the US, I love going to new places, meeting new people and photographing dogs different landscapes. For private sessions I tend to stay around upstate NY, I will occasionally venture into New England from time to time as well.
As the photographer I will always retain the copyright to my images. Images are sold by default with a personal use license, this means you are free to use your image to share on social media, print (high resolution files), text, breeding ads, etc. I can also provide a commercial usage license on a case by case basis for purposes such as business branding, advertising, magazine covers, packaging, etc.
I do not consider dog breeding commercial usage, so using images for promotion of a litter or for a dog show ad is perfectly acceptable personal usage.
No. My photographs are not available for submission to photo contests. Many photo contests require broad or exclusive usage rights for promotional purposes, and I retain control over how my images are used to ensure they are represented in ways that align with my work and clients’ interests.
