Work With Me
Every dog photography experience I offer is built around patience, respect for the dog, and attention to meaningful moments. Whether I’m documenting the focus of a retriever at the line, creating a themed event, or spending quiet time during a private session, I work carefully and intentionally to capture images that feel genuine and lasting. I call these images Frames With Purpose.
I have a deep respect for retrievers and the work they are bred to do. As a Golden Retriever breeder and owner myself, I spend much of my time working with my dogs and learning about hunt tests. Understanding hunt tests — how they operate, the language, the rhythm of a test — helps me capture the quiet intensity at the line and the moments that matter most.
Photographing a hunt test is not simply event coverage for me. It is time spent among dogs and handlers who value purpose, discipline, and partnership.
Professional photography also adds something meaningful to the event itself. Handlers appreciate having images of their dogs doing the work they were bred for, and clubs benefit from beautiful imagery connected to their test. It helps preserve moments from the weekend and highlights the quality of the dogs, the grounds, and the work being done.
No Fees for Clubs
Clubs are never charged for photography coverage. I assume all costs associated with travel, lodging, equipment, and time on the grounds.
In return, I simply request access to the handler entry list so I can share galleries of their dogs’ runs and offer images for purchase. There are no fees to the club and no disruption to the event schedule.
Clubs receive the benefit of professional photography at their event without any financial obligation.
Professional Presence on the Grounds
When I arrive, I introduce myself to the judges and marshal and review placement options to ensure I never obstruct the test. Judges always have the final say on where I work.
I use silent camera equipment and dress appropriately for the field. When needed, I bring my own blind or work from natural cover.
My goal is simple — to document the work without drawing attention to myself. The dogs remain the focus.
Dog photography events are designed to be fun, creative experiences for both you and your dog. Some are signature events that I design and host myself, while others take place within larger gatherings such as fundraisers, outdoor festivals, and dog-centered community events. Each event blends thoughtful styling, beautiful outdoor settings, and gentle guidance to capture expressive, memorable images of your dog.
Thoughtfully Designed Experiences
Each event is created to be engaging and relaxed for both dogs and their people. I use toys, subtle sound cues, and rewards when appropriate to bring out natural expression and attentiveness, always prioritizing the dog’s comfort and enjoyment.
Sessions are short, efficient, and carefully guided so every participant receives beautiful images without long wait times.

Private sessions are designed for those who want a quiet, one-on-one photography experience focused entirely on their dog. These sessions allow us to slow down, work with the landscape and natural light, and capture images that feel deeply personal and authentic.
With no crowds, your dog has space to move, settle, and reveal their true character.
A Thoughtful, Unhurried Experience
Private sessions are ideal for dogs who benefit from a calm, focused environment. These sessions create space for the dog to settle naturally and for genuine moments to unfold.
They are especially meaningful for:
- Senior dogs whose time deserves to be preserved with care
- Dogs who prefer quiet settings without distractions
- Show and breeding dogs needing professional portfolio imagery
- Litters and young puppies during meaningful early milestones
- Families looking to capture special memories with their canine friend
There is no rush. We work with the light, the landscape, and the temperament of the dog. This slower pace allows for imagery that feels honest, connected, and enduring.
What to Expect
- A pre-session conversation to understand your goals
- A thoughtfully selected outdoor location
- Time for movement, rest, and natural expression
- Careful composition and attention to detail
- A curated gallery delivered after the session
Private sessions are about more than portraits. They are about preserving the spirit of a dog at a particular moment in time. If you are looking for imagery that feels personal, and true to your dog’s character, a private session may be the right fit.
